Affordable Electric Vehicle Option Arrives: VW's ID. EVERY1 Targets Budget-Conscious Electric Vehicle Market

Volkswagen is making strides in the electric vehicle (EV) market, introducing two new affordable models, the ID. 2all and ID. EVERY1, for the European market. These entry-level EVs are part of Volkswagen's commitment to providing a diverse range of mobility options and shaping the future of sustainable mobility.

The ID. 2all, set for release in 2026 at around €25,000, is a compact electric car that reflects the new Volkswagen design language, with iconic elements like the Golf's C-pillar. The ID. EVERY1, scheduled for production in 2027 and priced at approximately €20,000, showcases a distinctive design with a "slightly cheeky smile" front face, wide wheel arches, and an athletic silhouette. Both models are based on the modular MEB platform and feature front-wheel drive, making them suitable for urban environments and everyday use.

The ID. EVERY1, the more affordable of the two, is positioned as the last piece in Volkswagen's journey to having the widest model selection in the volume segment. It is designed with stability, likeability, and a sporty "secret sauce" roof design, offering seating for four and a luggage compartment with a volume of 305 liters.

Volkswagen's strategy includes providing a diverse range of mobility options, from efficient combustion engines to advanced hybrids and all-electric models. The ID. 2all and ID. EVERY1 are developed under Volkswagen Group's Brand Group Core, sharing cross-brand MEB front-wheel-drive architecture geared for urban electric vehicles.

The ID. EVERY1 is part of Volkswagen's Electric Urban Car Family, a collection of front-wheel-drive electric vehicles. This family is a key component in Volkswagen's new era of electric vehicles and a crucial milestone in their long-term electric vehicle strategy.

Volkswagen aims to expand its position as the world's leading volume manufacturer in terms of technology by 2030. This goal is part of their "Future Volkswagen" agreement, a three-phase plan to enhance their market position and technological leadership.

In addition to the ID. 2all and ID. EVERY1, Volkswagen plans to release nine new models by 2027, maintaining their competitive edge in the high-volume vehicle segment. Both the ID. 2all and ID. EVERY1 embody a customer-first approach, with the ID. EVERY1 being an example of Customer Defined Vehicles.

The European launch of the Electric Urban Car Family is scheduled for 2026. The ID. EVERY1, with its affordable price and modern design, is set to make electric mobility accessible to a wider audience, contributing to Volkswagen's goal of shaping the future of sustainable mobility.
