In the heart of Kazakhstan, Shymkent is experiencing a shift in its meat market, with an emphasis on affordable pricing and regular agricultural fairs.

Recent enforcement actions have been taken in the region, with 176 warnings and 27 fines totaling 275,240 tenge issued under articles 204-4 and 203 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These fines aim to maintain the quality and integrity of the meat being sold.

Agricultural fairs are a common sight in Shymkent, taking place six days a week — Tuesdays through Sundays — in various locations such as Turan-2 microdistrict, Nurasat-3 microdistrict, TD Zharqyn Tau car park, Shymsiti microdistrict, Kaji Mukan Stadium, in front of the '1000 Melochie' store, Nurasat-2 microdistrict (in front of the A. Yusupov Gymnastics Center and the Seyitjan Qari Esjanuly Mosque).

The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has shared information on where to buy meat at fixed prices in Shymkent. Beef is being sold at social prices in more than 60 trading points in the city, with contracts signed with 'Kaskasu-S' and 'BaytereK' farms, where the selling price is 2620 tenge per kilogram for beef (rib-cage with bones).

The 'reverse scheme' allows for the sale of beef at a fixed price of 2590 tenge per kilogram in Magnum and Graмаd trading networks. This initiative aims to make beef more accessible to a wider segment of the population.

However, it's important to note that market prices for meat range from 3800 to 4000 tenge, with certain locations having prices exceeding 5,000 tenge per kilogram.

The Turkestan region, including the village of Karabulak, is a significant supplier of beef to Shymkent markets. The high demand for Kazakhstani meat in neighboring countries has an impact on the domestic price situation.

For those seeking a more comprehensive list of trading points in Shymkent selling beef at fixed prices under the "reverse scheme" or through contracts with 'Kaskasu-S' and 'BaytereK' farms, it may be necessary to consult local official sources. This could include municipal or regional government websites, local agricultural or trade departments, or by visiting local markets, government-supported trading points, or stores directly for contract-based sales information. Additionally, checking official social media pages or websites of 'Kaskasu-S' and 'BaytereK' farms for announcements about authorized selling points and pricing schemes could also prove useful.
