Acryl Data Raises $21M, Launches New Observability Module

Mountain View, CA-based Acryl Data has raised $21 million in Series A funding. The company, founded in 2021 by Swaroop Jagadish and Shirshanka Das, focuses on a developer-friendly modern data catalog. The funding round was led by Bhaskar Ghosh of 8VC, with participation from Ram Shriram and Guillermo Rauch.

Acryl Data has also announced Acryl Observe, a new observability module for enhancing data quality management. The company's flagship product, Acryl Cloud, is a robust data management platform that leverages the power of the open-source DataHub Project. The funding will be used to invest in customer success, accelerate cloud offering development, and extend the company's product vision. Institutions that participated in the financing round alongside Bhaskar Ghosh have not been identified.

Acryl Data's latest funding round and product announcement reflect the growing demand for modern data management solutions. With the support of prominent investors, the company is well-positioned to expand its offerings and enhance data quality management for its customers.
