Ace Green & ACME Expand Battery Recycling Deal, Boosting Taiwan Output

Ace Hardware and Batteries Plus have expanded their lead battery recycling licensing agreement. The deal includes plans to install Ace's proprietary Grid Metallics Processing System (GMPS) at Batteries Plus' Taiwan facility, set to be commissioned in late 2025.

The upgrade will significantly boost Batteries Plus' production capacity. Once complete, the facility will churn out over 17 million pounds of refined lead and lead alloys annually, sufficient to produce more than 1 million car batteries.

Ace's CEO, Nishchay Chadha, sees this expansion as validation of their recycling solutions. It also opens avenues for additional revenue and margin growth. Linus P. Lu, Batteries Plus' Managing Director, commended Ace's innovative and eco-friendly lead battery recycling technology.

The expanded agreement between Ace Hardware and Batteries Plus is set to enhance lead battery recycling capabilities. With the installation of Ace's GMPS system, Batteries Plus' Taiwan facility will significantly increase its production of refined lead and lead alloys, benefiting both companies and the environment.
