Accenture's Cyber.AI uses Claude to outpace AI-driven cyber threats
Accenture has unveiled Cyber.AI, a new AI-driven security solution designed to transform how organisations defend against cyber threats. Powered by Anthropic's Claude model, the platform aims to speed up threat detection and improve decision-making in security operations.
The launch comes as cyber risks grow rapidly, with AI-related vulnerabilities now ranked among the top concerns for businesses worldwide. Cyber.AI integrates Claude's advanced reasoning with Accenture's own proprietary agents, drawing on over 20 years of cybersecurity experience. The system acts as a central reasoning engine, delivering real-time insights across the entire security lifecycle. It also includes Agent Shield, a feature that continuously protects, monitors, and governs autonomous AI agents.
Accenture has already tested the solution within its own IT infrastructure, cutting scan turnaround times from three to five days down to less than an hour. Damon McDougald, Accenture's global cybersecurity lead, highlighted the urgency, noting that attackers now use AI to shrink attack timelines from weeks to mere hours.
The platform is backed by Accenture's 30,000-strong cybersecurity team, helping clients respond faster and more effectively to evolving threats. Enhanced with enterprise-grade governance, Cyber.AI builds on Claude's built-in safety features to provide stronger controls for complex digital environments. Cyber.AI arrives as businesses face rising AI-driven threats, with nearly nine in ten organisations identifying such vulnerabilities as the fastest-growing risk. The solution is designed to help companies manage expanding attack surfaces with greater speed and consistency.
Accenture's deployment of the tool in its own systems demonstrates its potential to reduce response times and strengthen defences in high-stakes security operations.
